Dorsey is horrible!!

Could be worse, you could be a Bengals fan like myself. Sad thing is, I still watch them.
Wait two more weeks for the Dorsey-Fitzpatrick shootout. What's the NFL record for most punts in a game?

Riddle: Why doesn't Columbus have a professional football team?

Answer: Because then Cleveland would want one.

Ba doom pa....:D

If this isn't worse enough this year, wait until Ohio State faces Texas in Jan. If they don't keep the game score even close, I don't think we are going to another championship game for at least 10+ years. What the hell is wrong with Ohio teams this year?

Didn't watch the game and feel somehow, at peace. Both this week and last week are the first Brown's games I have missed in I don't know how long. I just can't stand to watch my team fall into further disgrace, especially since this was supposed to be "the year". Still debating whether I will tune in for the rest of the season. Maybe, I'll just replay games from the late 80's & early 90's each Sunday.

Poll - Marty or The Chin?

Poll - Marty or The Chin?

I think either would be an improvement but I would lean toward Marty. The criticism that he can not win the big game is true of the vast majority of coaches out there! What percentage of Head Coaches win a superbowl?

With the talent Cower had in Pitt, I think he underperformed to some extent. I'm in Poland Ohio(east side of youngstown) and surrounded by black and gold. I could care less about any other game. JUST BEAT THE STEELERS LIKE A RED HEADED STEP CHILD AND YOUR MY COACH FOR LIFE.

How do the rest of you feel?

I would agree. However, I won't be happy until the Steelers see it the same way. Right now, the rivalry is smoldering on the back burner. Until we become a real consistent threat, I don't expect Pittsburgh will see us as a rival.

The only thing worse than loosing to the Steelers is being pitied by them.

With that being said, either coach would be good provided they give him a long leash and a long term contract to get it done.

Although I would love to have either of these two coaches, I just don't see either of them coming here. What could they possibly gain? The Chin is a hero in Pittsburgh now and will remain so unless he becomes the coach of the rival Browns. He would not only damage his rep with Pukeburg, he would have an uphill fight to turn this team around, and no where near the guaranteed lifetime job that Steelers head coaches get.
Schotty would constantly be compared to the success he had here in the 80's. 3 AFC title games in a 4 year span is a lot to live up to.
Neither needs the money, and have nice cushy TV jobs....

My guess is that if both Savage and RAC are canned, we will see someone like Jim Fassel or Steve Mariucci, someone with previous NFL head coaching experience with decent, but not great, track records.
If Savage stays, my money is on either Brian Billick or Kirk Ferentz......either of which I would not be too thrilled with.

75pxatr, I live in Austintown. Maybe we should hook up to go to a meeting in Cleveland.

In one of Crennel's first interviews, he said, and I quote that "the Steelers/Browns game was just an other game". I knew right then that he was "just an other coach" passing through. If you can't motivate a team to feel that their rivalry game is important, how do you expect to motivate them in any game. Not treating the rivalry game important is a quick way to lose fans.

I want them to hire the Chin and have him have a press conference and right off the bat say, "I wanna kick the **** out of Pittsburg". That would stoke the rivalry again....But I'm afraid I'm halucinating.

I think he is the only one that can save the Browns, but I don't see it happening.

By the way, it is PittsburgH :)

I agree that the new coach should pull a Jim Tressel and announce at the first team meeting that his primary function is to beat the steelers. I used to look forward to the rivalry.

Do you remember when the players hated each other? Now they smile and pat each others *** after plays? I want to see a game on Sunday afternoon that is nothing less than all out war.

The rivalry is in danger when one team fails to live up to the challenge.

I don't live and die for professional sports but it would be fun to watch the good football on Sunday afternoons.
