In some other threads I was reading people saying stuff like I dose Fe, KNO3 and toher stuff. Since I cant search on RC, can someone tell me what most of the abbreviations mean?
Fe = iron, KNO3 = ( K = potassium, NO3 = nitrate ) together you have potassium nitrate. Someone correct me if I say this wrong, These abbreviations come from the periodic atomic chart, a google search should turn up some hits.
CaNO3 (which isnt the right chemical notation actually) = calcium nitrate
KPO4 = potassium phosphate
NaNO3 = sodium nitrate
FeEDTA = chelated iron
Mn = manganese
Mg = magnesium
CO3 = generic for carbonates
There are probably quite a few more.. if you ever find something abbreviated that doesnt make sense just ask us. I do it quite frequently when the guys start to go crazy with their equipment abbrevations.. (ATO, CPR, HQI..).
