so far I've heard great things about the BRS. I'm not too apex savvy, but I've heard great things about them as well. From what little I understand, the apex monitors some of the tank's parameters? so would the apex shut off/turn on the doser for precise dosing? How exactly would this combo work?

You can set up the apex to turn on turn on and dose exactly what you need. The apex is a must and once you have one you will understand and think how you ever did this without one.
You could use a regar timer however, I would not reccomend it. The apex can stop tank my downs but ordinary timers cannot

Thanks for the reply guys- I read the first four pages, then skipped toward the end. It seems there are a little mixed reviews as far as the quality of the product arrival, but for the most it seems that the reefers here have given them a thumbs up.
I need to check into the apex, and see what the difference between the jr, and all of the other controllers are. Thanks!
