Dosing Container Plastic smell

Just picked up some dosing containers to hold calc, alk and mag to dose in my system. I noticed that the acrylic containers have a plastic odor on/in them. The hose that came with them that was inside was very strong in plastic smell so I trashed it to use my own airline tubing. I rinsed them really well, left water soaking in them and dumped on and off a few days and even left them soaking with water and vinegar over night. last night I dumped and let air dry over night and this morning although better still smells like plastic to me. Is there a way to rid them of this and is it ok/safe?

not long ago i decided to mix some water, baking soda and vinegar in to soak a bit and see what happens.

one last try to get anyone who might know anything or any feedback to give me advise on this? if not I am going to assume that everything I am doing to help with the smell can only help and in general since they are a container designed for dosing something in an aquarium it must be safe. they are Marinecolor brand I believe, acrylic dosing containers.
