I have had several PM,s about the threads that I listed and referenced at the meeting on Saturday.
Here is a list of those websites and threads. It is a LOT of information out there, some good and some just wrong. These are the best I have seen.
As I stated at the meeting I have been using "Prodibio" in my system since the early fall and I am at this point confident that using it did help eliminate my hair algae problem, as the "bad, before and after photos" I showed everyone confirm. But it did not happen overnight it was only after the 4th month that I saw the really significant change.
Remember "Nothing Good in the Hobby happens quickly" take your time and move "slowly".
Here is the list:

Final word on dosing!!
Dose at your own Risk!!
Learn all you can and decide a plan of action “before†you start.
No one recommends using any of these methods without a good skimmer!!
Test, test, test… That is how you determine what your dosing regimen should be.
Watch, watch, watch, and observe. Let your tank tell you what you need to do, if you are getting an adverse reaction pay attention and stop till you can determine the reason for the bad reaction.
Do not dose “anything†unless you need to.
If it is not broke, do not fix it. If you like the results you are getting out of your aquarium, leave it alone. Do not let all these articles and opinions get in the way of what you actually observe in your tank.
If you do try one of these methods, take it slowly and give it time to work.
Change only one thing at a time and give it a chance to work. Some people (as is obvious on these threads)are constantly messing with what they add to there tank, and can not understand what is going wrong. Keeping the biological and chemical balance in your tank is of the utmost importance ( and the point of all this ) and if you are changing what you add every day or week, your tank can not get stable.
Anyone in our area try any of the methods let us know what your results have been and maybe we will look at all this again at a future meeting.
Enjoy your tank!!
