Dosing Help Please

Hello,
I have a question about the whole Tunze Osmolator / Calcium dispencer set-up (excuse me, Im a novice). I have a 29 gallon with a ~20 gallon fuge. I want to have something to top-off water as well as take care of Calcium and alkalinity. Ive been throwing around gravity dosing, calcium reactor, and Nielson reactorsââ"šÂ¬Ã‚¦until I came across the Tunze set-up. And I read from another thread that sending kalk/water through the osmolator is bad for the pump. So is the set up, 5002.25 reservoir (RO/DI water), the osmolator pulls water out of that and into the calc dispenser, which in turn overflows into the sump (or tank)?
thanks

It is rare for kalkwasser to meet all the demand of a reef tank, just go into it with that in mind. Odds are you will have to add a liquid calcium supplement as well (though less often), the only way completely around this is a calcium reactor. You have the concept correct. The sensors install in the sump and the top off water is delivered to the tank.

I guess Ive been hearing/reading conflicting stories about the set-up...a LFS told me it goes reservoir to calc dispenser through the osmolator pump and into the sump...in that case doesnt it shorten the life of the pump since kalk is going through it...in that case, why would it have been designed that way?
But I guess what Im hearing from you is that it goes reservoir to osmolator pump to calc dispenser and into the sump.

The way you have heard it from me is correct, the pump is before the kalk dispenser and if properly assembled the pump is not exposed to kalk.

know of a place where I can get a 3155? marinedepot and premiumaquatics are the only places I know of and both are sold out.

You might try Champion, otherwise I have some that should be leaving Germany in the next day or two and arrive next week, I expect all three will have at least 1 or 2 available.
