I can't decide weather I want to dose or just set up a reactor I'm not sure what the benefits are or are not so any help and lessons anyone wants to give is appreciated. Thanks

Dosing is not required and depending on the types of animals(corals) you have determines what you may or may not want to dose. Also, proper husbandry like regular water changes will do the trick for most tanks. Do you need to run carbon or gfo? Do you have algae problems or water clarity issues?

Yes but i notice my lvls drop fairly quickly so i think i need to do a little adding at this point

The thing I like about dosing is that the worst thing that can happen is the pumps quit working. If you calcium reactor messes up it can wipe out your tank with a major ph drop if a valve fails, there's so many things that can go wrong.

With all do repect to everyone I know what my system needs and I can keep up with water changes alone now. I'm trying to figure out weather I want to dose or calcium reactor what are the pros and cons of both. I have approximately 300 gallons of water total and a 120 display with not all sps but enuff and chalices etc. ism just trying to decide whats gunna be best for me. So what are your has experiences and why did you choose what you did. Thanks.
I would get a calcium reactor and a kalk reactor vs getting dosing pumps. I choose this route because it only cost me about $40 a year for c02 and new media,to keep up with 450 gallon reef system. I can't imagine what I would spend on 2 part. Ive been using the same calcium reactor since high school and Im 42 now, so would say its stood the test of time pretty well. I don't see the downside to a calcium reactor on a 300 gallon system.
