Dosing Pump

I just ordered what I thought was a standalone dosing pump but it appears that I ordered the one that has to be hooked to the Profilux controller. Short of returning the unit is there any way I can turn the individual pumps on and off as I have a ReefKeeper Elite controller?

Hi

No sorry the only way of turning this on and off would be through buying the ProfiLux aquatic controller.

You will need the GHL stand alone Dosers, or look to upgrading to the ProfiLux aquatic controllers. Let me know if you want any info on the GHL range and what it can do.

ProfiLux controllers support many things such as dosers, tunze control etc etc where other controllers do not.

What is the best method to use the dosing pumps? ie some sort of container for the liquid to be dosed?

depends what you are dosing if for example the balling method then yes you need a container to hold 5L of the salt mixture
