Dosing Seachem Calcium Advantage

I have a problem dosing my Seachem Calcium Advantage additive. It doesn't seem to raise my Calcium in PPM that much. I have a 220 Gallon tank with a 75 Gallon sump. It is stocked with all types of corals and has been running for a year and a half. Does anyone have any experience dosing this product? I have dose in last 48 hours 4 teaspoons and has only raised my calcium 5ppm. I was thinking my mag might be low, but I cannot get Red Seas test kit to work right. Having a hard time determine the end color.

seachem calcium is pretty much the same as adding generic calcium chloride. 4 teaspoons in 200+gal tank is nothing, to see results you will need much more than that. I need 3 teaspoons a day just to maintain levels. brs has a calculator on their website that will help you with the correct dosage. The end color for the red sea calcium test kit is blue. keep adding reagent until you get to blue and it must stay blue so keep swirling for at least 30 seconds to be sure it stays blue. youtube has a video from redsea that might help.
