I am shutting down my calcuim reactor and I am going to start dosing. How often do you dose for:

Calcuim?

Alkalinity?

Magnesium?

( Or ) do you need to do them every other day?

Or you do your test and then dose what is needed?

can you dose more than one thing at a time?

Which one do you dose the most and about how much do you use over a 6 month period.

I dose every day. You just need to find out what your tank requirements are and figure out how to to add daily. It's much better than adding weekly. It's better for the tank. I dose them one at a time in my sump. Not a good idea to add all together and dose at the same time. I wait a couple of minutes between dosing as well.

Alkalinity - No dosing required

over the last year the reactor has backed up 2 times and the last time it killed very thing in the tank. I have never dosed before but i am going to try this for a while and see how it works.

With out the reactor and just water changes i had coraline alage going with 2 different reactors on the system for over a year and half i have very little coraline alage. so i am going to try something different.
