I got home and he had just the tip of the shell sticking out of his mouth. i wanted to pull it out but im afraid i could damage something. Should I just wait until he spits out the shell on his own?

I call them meat corals, I love them. I had fish disappearing and low and behold I caught him red handed eating one of my blennies. Any fish that made the mistake of taking a little lounge on him became lunch. I've seen mine regurgitate a chunk of fish I fed it, so my thoughts are he will spit the shell back out; I wouldn't think he could digest that.

So he definitely hasn't been able to digest it, its been probably 5 days, but the crab inside was toast lol. The problem was he rotated the shell some so when he closed up at night it looked like it was going to punch a hole through himself. So I ve been feeding him and hes been eating around it. after feeding him last night though the shell the was sticking out again like in the picture and I managed to pull it out really slowly. Seems fine today.

Thanks for the help
