Has anyone seen this anywhere recently? I used up all of my free two part i got at a pizza night and now need a calcium supplement. I bought a big bag of baking soda and a big bag of epsom salts at Sams, but i cant find dowflake.

kalk is 2 teaspoons per gallon for saturation. If you add 45 ml of vinegar per gallon, you can get 3 teaspoons per gallon into it. Many find that saturated limewater is more than they need so they don't put as much per gallon in. At saturation levels it will self purify and impurities will be driven out of solution and will settle on the bottom. I recommend making all limewater to saturation and THEN decanting that purified solution (after all settling has occurred) into another container and diluting it to desired levels. This self purification by saturation is an issue that I have with kalk reactors even though it doesn't seem to bother anyone. In other words I'd recommend a reservoir of limewater IF you have the room/space available.

that reads like Chinese-to me! I have no idea what you said/typed, but it sounded like you at least graduated from high school, or you know what you are talking about!

That whole self purification, decanting solution, by saturation was WAYY too much for my brain to handle at the moment.

I still need your help on space-I will PM tomorrow

I just use pickling lime for now. Until I get the Calk. reactor up and running it's works just fine. Nick I use 1/2 a teaspoon in a 20 oz soda bottle and shake it violently to mix and then poor it in. I do this about 3 times each week ( is I can remember to anyway ). I do it every weekend for sure.
