Downloading firmware

Just got my plus II, I am sync'd with my laptop via RS232 and USB port. I am now trying to install latest software - being told I can't because existing firmware on the Plus II is too old. So I download 4.08 software - what/how do I install firmware after unzipping it? I should be able to install latest firmware then install latest software?

Okay well figured how to flash within the profilux program - but it keeps aborting on me. My firmware version is 4.04, trying to install 4.08.

Just had two Blue screen crashes on my laptop. Coinciding with the crashes, I had been trying to connect. Both times I was told it could not find the controller even though the com port was the same and the USB cable was connected. Initial install worked fine, only started crapping out on me after I tried to download later software version so I could download latest firmware version. MMMMMmmmmm, now what?

its aborting on you becuase you are not selecting OK on the profilux front screen before pressing ok to start the downlod on the PC once the download has done the file check.

In this case it sounds like you have corrupted the firmware now so you have to use the fujitsu tool to get it back up and running, details of this can be found in the back of the manual under heading "if all else fails"
