I had a 125 reef tank with a 35 gallon sump and sold it 2 years ago and have missed the hobby ever since. I am going to get back in, but will do so on a much smaller scale. My focus will be on LPS and softies, and very minimal on fish - can't have but one or two in such a small system. I have been working with my LFS and have come up with the following and before I pull the trigger wanted to get some input:
34 Gallon Solana Cube (not the AIO)
Solana Stand
Reef Octopus HOB Skimmer BH-1000
Vortech MP-10
Neptune Apex Jr
AIO Sol LED
I don't want a sump (and yes I do realize the benefits of one) but I was advised that this is all I need for the "hardware" portion of my purchase. I will have to get the testing supplies and refractometer, sand, rock, etc. But I would like to get your input on the purchase choice.
Thanks for the help, I am really looking forward to the new system.
