Hey guys,
I was looking at the dr aquarium software, but could not find any info after searching. Has anyone tried this? What do you think? How reliable is it? I've found my X10 stuff to be not so reliable. Like I'll hit "on" on the remote and the device will click, but nothing with happen. I usually have to repeat commands a couple of times. This may be because my devices are getting old.
Don't know how comfortable I would be automating everything and relying on both windows and the X10 stuff to both work.
Looks like the software is only like $35 and the DrDAQ is like $209 with two temperature sensors and a PH proble (freshwater only???). So I think it's a little less expensive than some of the controllers on the market. But then you also need a computer to run the thing and you need a webserver to do the online stuff.
This program seems to be in its infancy, but it looks promising.
Currently what is the *best* way to automate a reef?
Mark
