It's that time of year again - I've got to order more frozen fish food from Dr. Foster and Smith. The overnight shipping charge is a little stiff, so I'll do a bulk group order, if anyone is interested. This Wednesday afternoon I'll place the order. It will ship Thursday, and arrive Friday, Feb 12th.

I'll split the flat-rate $25 shipping proportionally to the base cost each order. So, if the total order is $100, and $20 of that is your order, your portion of the fee will be $5, or 20% of the flat-rate shipping fee.

If you are interested, here is how it will work.

  1. Post in this thread what you would like me to order for you. Don't PM me. Post IN THIS THREAD. That way it's a public commitment.
  2. In that post please include three things, providing all three is ESSENTIAL:
    • Item Description, ex. "œBlood Worms 3.5 oz cubes"
    • Item number, ex. "œCD-12957"
    • Quantity to purchase, ex. "œ10"
  3. Monday night I'll PM you the cost of your order. That means the cost of the order, plus your share of the shipping, plus 2.9% + 30 cents to cover PayPal transaction costs.
  4. In that same email I'll send you my PayPal account, home address and phone number.
  5. You will have until Midnight Tuesday to PayPal me the funds for the order.
  6. Wednesday I'll place the order.
  7. Friday your order will arrive at my home in Westport.
  8. Friday you swing by my place to pick up your food.
  9. If it turns out that your PayPal transfer came from a funded account (not credit/debit card based), then I will not have been hit for the 2.9% + 30 cents charge, and I'll refund that to you when you pick up the food.
  10. Saturday any food not picked up will be melted, because I DON'T have spare room in my freezer.

I hope that makes sense. ;)

So, if you are interested, follow the process starting with item #1 above. Please do not post a request unless it is a firm commitment.

Yeah, sorry about that. But it's true. That freezer's full now. And the family already complains about how much room my fish food takes. So, that said, I'm sure I can squeeze something small in for a day or two. But it'd have to be small.

The pick up place is my house in Westport. Line #4 above addresses that.

Also, FWIW, I know this may be a bit too proscriptive for anyone to be interested. And I completely understand. But I thought it might be beneficial to someone that only needed a small amount of frozen food, but wasn't buying it because of the $25 shipping charge. This a a way to get around that.

Not trying to sell it. This is more trouble than it's worth to me really. But it seemed a decent opportunity to help out.

I'm goona look at there catolog tonight and see what I need isn't there food on sale this month too..? i'll get back soon.. thx's Brian

Where are you located? I just ran out of frozen food today so I'm in desperate need. I'd be getting about 50 or 60 bucks worth.

I'm conveniently located in the center of Westport. Five minutes away from either the Merritt (exit 42) or I-95 (exit 18), and a shade further from I-95 off exit 17. If you are familiar with the Post Road in Westport, I'm in the neighborhood behind the Compo Shopping Center, the one with the CVS, where Compo Road crosses the Post Road.

Easy to get to. Dead center of town.

Ivknow that area my dad and stepmom lived on gorham for 10 years that big tuscan white house half way down the street on the conner...Brian

I just placed an order and was able to use their February coupon 25% off aquarium food and it worked on frozen food: 3819/2141

I just stumbled onto this post. If you already ordered give them a call to see if they would honor the couple. I got it from email today around 5pm:

Edit:
I should have been more clear on the actual savings. I didn't save actual 25% since all were discounted some with the 6 mix and match but was still cheaper with the coupon. Every bit of savings help in this hobby. The 25% discount is based on the standard individual price but in my case it was close enough to cover the shipping with the extra saving.

Example:
Angel & Butterfly Diet
Standard price: $3.99
6 Mix & Match: $3.59
25% off: $2.99

Thank you VERY much for sharing this!!! It was quite kind of you to pass this along. Hopefully someday I can return the favor. :)

But unfortunately it's too late for this order. nakama decided he could get it cheaper locally, so with no one else on the order, I placed it early. Bummer.

Thanks for posting this though!
