Dracula goby

Does any body have any experience with Dracula Goby. I owned 4 of them and I just bought the 5th one. Unfortunately the same thing is happening with the fish.It does great at the biggening and after about 3 months it get sick, stop eating and cannot swim until it dies. I love the fish, can somebody help me please cause I do not want to keep throwing moneu away. It is a fairly expensive fish.

Never owned a Dracula Goby because of the price. I would recommend you get a vastly cheaper Red Banded Goby, they are 1/10 the cost of a Dracula, look similar and do similar things. I have had a pair for years in my refugium with a pistol shrimp. They are great to watch

dracula gobies can be very difficult to feed at times... are you sure it was eating the whole time you had it..? I have had to coax them in to eating

I have one in combo with 2 pistol shrimp, they all live together in the same burrow for about 10 months with no problems. Mine does pretty good at obtaining food, but I could see how the upper water column fish might out compete it.

If your fish are dying after 2-4 months, I would suspect starvation is the issue. Two things you might try:
1) Spot feed him with a turkey baster 1-2x per week.
2) Consider Buying the next one from Diver's Den (they tend to be very healthy specimens) and skip QT (...okay people. don't go crazy on me for this part of the advise). Or at least buy it from a very reliable source such as Live Aquaria.

Off topic, but I think u should totally pair it with a pistol shrimp!
