Its been about 2 days now since the dracula goby was added the first day he swam around for a wile and then hid up in the rock work and hasent been out that I can see. Should I be worried or just give him a day or two to come back out? Thanks for the advice. Im usually not to worried but this guy cost a pretty penny.

CerealKiller024,

Thank you for contacting us with your question. It is very common when a fish is first introduced for it to hide within your aquarium as it adjusts to your water parameters. We recommend giving him a day or two to continue acclimating. You can also try soaking the food in garlic juice as this may stimulate his appetite and entice him to come out. This gorgeous fish will make a wonderful addition to your aquarium.

If you have any further questions please feel free to contact us.

Just a quick update I found his hiding place and can only see his head most of the time but get a good look at him during feeding. Thanks again for your great service.

CerealKiller024,

Thank you for posting and updating everyone regarding your goby. It’s wonderful to hear he has found a favorite hiding place and is eating. These gobies are at times a bit slow to acclimate to their new surroundings. The Dracula Goby may prefer to remain mostly undercover, especially if he feels intimidated by other tank mates, or if you have high traffic in your home near your aquarium.

We wish you continued success with your new addition.
