Dragon eel not eating!!!

Just got a dragon 2-3 days ago and when I try to feed it he shakes his head and backs off from it I also have two peppermint shrimp and two black mollys for inticement, any help would be great

when i moved my snow flake, it took him 5 days to want to eat. From what i read, its normal.

It will probably be a few weeks before it eats. Offer it squid, octopus, and cuts of fresh fish. The likelihood of it eating the pepps are slim to none, same applies to the mollies depending on the eels size.

Mine shares its "den" with 2 peppermints. Until he gets real hungry some day, they are best friends it seems.

Leave him alone for a while. Eels, especially dragons really need a time to adjust to a new tank. Don't be surprised if it goes quite a while without eating. I usually don't even try to feed any of my new eels for at least a week. Every now and then one will eet right away but that's usually more by accident when they end up grabbing the food that was meant for soemthing else.

when i got my black ribbon eel he did not eat for 3.5 weeks. be patient. sometimes eels go on strike when under stress. yours being new to the tank is going through stress that probally when he is not eating

The dragons eel's I have had in the past was notorious for going weeks without eating and usually took them a couple weeks when I first got them to settle in.
