Dragon Wrasse - Juvenile?

OneFiddy,

Thank you for your Post. The Dragon Wrasse that we have listed on our LiveAquaria website are both Sub Adults, however they are offered from different suppliers and that is why we have two different item numbers for them.

Both of the item numbers online are for the medium Sub Adult Dragon Wrasse which range in size from 3”-4”. When placing an order for them you would be able to request a 4” Dragon Wrasse, unfortunately we would not be able to guarantee that we have a 4” in stock.

We appreciate the question as it gave us a chance to clarify the size and age of these beautiful fish. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

Ok, just so I'm clear on the terminology. 'Sub Adult' - I'm assuming that means 'juvenile'? I've really only seen the term 'juvenile' and 'adult'.

This is what is commonly known as a 'juvenile' - is that the 'sub adult'?

Also, would you say that one particular supplier has better quality livestock? I want to order the correct fish.

Thanks

Also, question for any other viewers.

I have a 150G fish only and love both the ADULT and the JUVENILE dragon wrasse.

Would it be possible to house BOTH and adult and juvenile in that tank?

Thanks

OneFiddy,

The definition of a Sub Adult is: an individual that has passed through the juvenile period but not yet attained typical adult characteristics.

This would mean that though the fish is considered to be an adult it might not have the full coloration of an adult specimen.

All specimens offered from our suppliers are of the highest quality and are listed under different item numbers for accounting purposes only.

Please contact us if you have further questions.
