I'm redoing the drain to my fragtank and was wonder...do 90's in a drain matter, or not because the water only goes as fast as gravity can pull it?

Gravity is doing most of the work, but friction caused by say a 90 bend will have some affect on the flow rate.If you have the room use 45 bends. They have a couple of advantages:less friction & if something(say a snail)somehow makes it past the strainer, has less chance of being trapped.HTH.

it works out perfect...now I just gotta glue everything! I ended up throwing in 45's everywhere I could without compromising the space that i have planned for the kalk reactor. It's like a huge maze...but it works! I'm just gunna have to add a little to it when I get my new skimmer tomorrow.
