when you connect the pipes in the overflow through the drilled glass.. is there anything special you should do with them because mine are dripping

Is the rubber washer on the inside of the tank?

Also make sure you didn't over tighten and "tweak" the rubber washer.

this is my first drilled tank. got it from another guy on this forum (bureau13). no idea what your talking about. i got the tank the pipes and the things they screw into. please explain

Is it leaking inside of the plasic pieces coming through the glass or is the water leaking around the outside of the plastic? The plastic pieces that are attached to the glass are called Bulkheads. If the leak is inside the bulkhead then it is a problem in how the pipes inside the tanks are attached to the bulkhead. But if the leak is on the outside of the bulkhead then it is a problem with how the bulkhead was installed.

it is coming outside of the bulkhead. like outside of the plastic part. should i use tools to tighten it as much as i can? will this crack glass.. no sign of rubber washers...

The rubber washer may be on the inside then (that is where it should be) if you got the tank used I would replace the bulkheads with new ones (They are only like $6-8 each) I had this same problem with my tank when I bought it used. I replaced with new and problem fixed. Bulkheads do not need to be really really tight, in fact I broke one trying to over tighten on my tank. Just make sure the rubber washer is on the inside and maybe a turn or two past hand tight and then leak test.
