Hey i was wondering if anyone knew of somwhere that would drill a 10g tank. I am trying to set up a refugium for nutrient export and phosphate buffering and was going to do so in a 10g tank. I was going to use my return pump to pump the water into the tank and let gravity feed it back to the sump through a bulkhead. I really dont want to drill the tank myself, but if it comes down to it i might have to try. Anyone drill tanks in the club or any stores do it?

Thanks, Mike

All Oddball Aquatics does it, they are in Brentwood/Baldwin off of Becks Run.

Elmers might also.

Aquaworld does too, but not the greatest job.

Eric is drilling a tank for me tomorrow. From what I have heard he does a fantastic job.

I think they are listed in the phone book now.

If you have several holes to do, you may want to buy a bit on eBay and drill your own. It is rather easy to do, though the thin glass on 10 gallon tanks is kind of tricky.

I thought about that, but as of right now i only need to drill one hole so i think it is out of the question... Yeah also some people said they can not drill 10g aquariums and All Oddball Aquatics said he can have me a special tank called a 10 heavy ordered in for about 18 dollars. I may just have to go that route.

Did you end up ordering the 10g 'heavy' tank? I am looking for something like that for a mantis shrimp.

lol no, i havent got around to doing anything with it yet... i have been pretty busy with work and finishing up a summer class. just finished it up last thursday, got a B by the way, now that its over i should have plenty of time (money might be an issue) to mess around with my tank. If i do order one i will let you know how it is.
