drilling 55g

I am drilling a friends 55g aga or perfecto tank, back panel... this isnt tempered is it? I ran a search and some guy was like "ALL 55G ARE TEMPERED" but i assume this is just the bottom panel right?

can anyone verify that 55g back panel/front panel is not tempered?

Check the bottom/underside for a sticker. I have a 55g that the sticker reads "this bottom is tempered glass do not drill". I don't know the brand but I believe the seller said he got it at Petco or Petsmart.

You really need to find out if its a AGA or a perfecto. Different makers will temper some or whole parts of the tank. Its safer to know exactly who made it first before drilling.

Its about 20 years old, anyone know if that makes it more or less likely?
