Drilling a 40g breeder

I want to drill two 40 breeders and I'm not sure what option is going to be the best:

1) Bean animal on the left side pane

2) Glass-holes 700 gph kit on the left side pane

3) Drill the bottom pane because AGA 40 breeders aren't tempered on the bottom.

I know how good the bean animal design is, but I worry about finding a nice overflow box to hide it. It would have to go on the left (and right on the other tank) side pane, because the tanks will be up against a wall and situated in an L in regards to each other.

The glass-holes kit is nice, the overflow box looks great, but it's only 1 drain.

Drilling the bottom seems like a nice option, and it would make for the easiest plumbing for sure. The only issue is what kind of overflow cover can I get for a 40 breeder that's drilled on the bottom?

I vote beananimal. Dead silent once it's setup right. I know you are drilling the sides but here is a pic of mine.

I went with smoked glass which I really like. Works better than a toothed overflow too.

To me, a BA drain is overkill on a 40 and simply takes up too much internal space; but i really don't like relying on just a single drain. So, if it were my tank, I'd actually go with the 1500 kit with dual bulkheads. Either that or drill two holes in one corner and do a Herbie ( just make the overflow walls with a couple of prices of glass).
