Drilling a tank

I am going to be switching over to a 125 that i have at my mom's house, and i want to drill the overflow.

I don't wanna deal with lugging the tank around to drill it, and thought i would do it myself. Do you know of anywhere locally to buy the diamond bit. I want to have 2- 1 1/2" drains. and will plumb the returns over the side.

I am not going to use overflow boxes, just pvc elbows with strainers adjusted to the waterline.

2 other notes. Is anybody interested in some large freshwater fish that currently live in the 125 (parrots, gourami, plecostamus sp? etc..

does anybody have a canopy for a 125 for sale?

i guess i could go with 2 1" overflows. any experience with the harbor freight stuff

I don't know if i am going setup the 125 now. I have a stand in the laundry room that is from my 220 aga tank i sold a few years ago. And my wife is thinking we should get another big tank :love1: I noticed a 180 has the same length and width dimensions

Home depot at Century 3 mall carries the 32mm 1 1/4" saw for $20. It is in the ceramic section

I feel like you could buy a hole saw from glass-holes for less than $20. Now that I looked into it, it's not even close. You could buy a 3" hole saw for under $20. Granted that to sell them that inexpensively, they probably buy them from the same place harbor freight does, but still. You also can save yourself the headache of trying to figure out what size bulkhead to buy, as they'll tell you exactly what size hole saw to buy for the bulkhead you're buying there. I bought from them once before, shipping was very reasonable, and would definitely use them again.
