Drinking Water......

While I'm waiting for my new RO filters to show up I ran out of top off water.

So I ran up to Schnucks for some distilled water. Well, all they had was Schnucks brand drinking water. But, they had 2 versions. They had spring and purified. I bought the purified drinking water.

When I got home I checked the tds and it was at 0 as was the distilled i got at walgreens.

I'll probably need that gallon of schnucks water tomorrow as I normally top off a gallon a day.

Question is, is this purified drinking water from schnucks ok to use?

no, it is at least 50% poison and 35% metal


Im sure its just regular RO water (purified, that is...not the spring stuff)

Jeff, they sell RO water at our schnucks by the gallon. It is on the produce/ deli side of the store on the wall with the bulk candy. Its the big machine that says Reverse Osmosis on it.

if you need water, or the filters have not shown up, bring some buckets by on Sat when you get the freebies.

In a pinch, I once bought the "purified" drinking water at Home Depot because it on the way home and it had a TDS of 64 ppm. I was ticked for getting ripped off but it worked for the short term.

If your getting zero TDS you should be fine.

I've also bought the Walmart distilled water at 47 cents a gallon and TDS of 0 ppm. Definitely the way to go if your RO/DI goes out and you don't have time to get any from someone nearby. Ideally, distilled water should be even more pure than RO/DI.

I should be alright guys. If I do need it, I can get by with just a half gallon or so.

My TDS WAS 17! That's when I decided it was time for new filters.

According to FedEx I should have it by tomorrow. Thanks for the offer Phil!
