Pour everything into a bucket. Get a small air-hose and start a slow drip into bucket (depending on how much water is shipped----less water= slower drip). After a LONG while put star into tank (w/o any shipped water).
I'd advise measuring the SG along the way. You want to raise it slowly until it matches the tank salinity. I'd guess maybe 0.0005 units every half hour or so. Dumping water out of the bucket from time time is usually going to be necessary.
