Ihave two vortechs the first one I upgraded with a new driver Igot a lot of clunking at first, this was due to trapped air in the wet side unit, my problem is the the unit has been in Reef Crest mode and I have not observed this random out put. The second pump is in constant speed mode and it will go to a high output then drop to a lower on it dose this seems to be random, I guess I could time it to find out! Bottom line It should stay at a constant speed. Oh should I point out that before the upgrade your guys at icecape did some up grade work for us. They told my wife that they needed a credit card to assure the return of the defective unit. Soon as they .got defective unit back they billed me $100.00 dollars for the unit. The uprgraded which I purchased online was only $75.00. YOU Know guys if these are defective they will want another credit card number and as far as
I'm concernd they already screwed us once. But anyway please help with the problem. Also both pumps are in single driver mode!
P.S. I bought these pumps because I really like how they flow and I really wanted to buy american, I'm also going to build a glass tank instead of acrylic so I can Keep the wall thinkness down to 3/4 inch and use the vortech.
