drop-in chiller air leak

My Current USA drop-in chiller jsut sprung an air leak in the coil.

I realized it wasnt working normally today when it took a while to bring down the temperature from 80 to 77 degree. It would run constantly for over 40 minutes without a drop in temperature. I then unplug the unit to shut it off. Afterwards I look under the sump to see air is leaking from a pin size hole in the coil.

Im not sure if its air or what but i took the coil out of the sump so its sitting outside right now unplugged.

Im not familiar with the integrity of the coils but after inspection i see several corrosion areas along the coil.

if its in the coils then its most likely freon. will have to get the hole fixed (if it can be done) and recharged with freon. most likely be easier/cheaper to replace it...esp if there are a lot of bad spots
