Dropping dkh

for some reason i am have a problem getting my dkh up to 8-9 the highest has been 7 and now it is dropping to 5.4.

Size of tank and stocking can play a major role, when I had heavy lps in a small 14g I had a hard time maintaining my alk. Also the relationship between ca, alk, and mg. I run 8.5 dkh and 425 ca.Your ca is quite high, rule of thumb is about 3x ca to mg, so I run mg just below 1300.

What type of salt and water are you using? I had a similar problem when I added more hard corals. Switched salt and got it back in line.
