Hi guys,

its difficult to get live phyto here were i live so i am wondering if its possible to use dry phyto to bowl feed the clams ?

you can but you will have to soak it in water first then put it in a blender to get the phyto back to the size you need.

if your clam is 3" or larger and your lighting is appropriate for clams you shouldn't need to feed phyto.

If you could get a live culture you could grow your own. If size dictates.

Dry phyto will not provide nearly as much nutritional value as live phyto. Because of the distorted shape of the cell, the clams might not even recognize it as food and rejects it.
