Thanks for the compliments everyone. WHen I was buildig this, most of my friends/family thought I had lost my mind....some people just don't get it. But, here on RC, we can all be nutty together.

Very nice build! I feel the same way my family and friends thinks I'm crazy wasting my time and money but it's a hobby!

Very nice setup, I'm looking forward to attempting something like this for the new tank when I move.

WaterArt. Your system is Art with Water ... Well done, sir !

Enough simply cannot be said. This is clearly the culmination of many dreams !

Some of which blend with mine :)

Ok, I really need to go research how the heck to take good pics. Getting nice clear pics of a tank is harder than I thought it would be......

That looks like a relaxing place to be. You must've read my mind on posting the viewing room picture 30 mins before. Do you have an estimation of how much time you spend or save on your maintenance by going automated? How long can the tank go without your caretaking?

Well, if I skip feeding frozen foods, automation can take over for about 25 days or so.

On a daily basis, I only need to feed the tank frozen food and...the dry pellets are automatically fed.

Weekly, I empty skimmer cup, and change out big filter sock, and clean the glass

And once a month, I refill the saltwater barrel, refill the Ca and Alk, change out Carbon & GFO...

Thats it,...The automated setup saves me a ton of time.

Impressive! Ive always thought being able to go about a month without maintenance would be a good goal to shoot for. I'll try to get there but for now I have some fish that need frozen food often. I enjoy feeding them but it would be nice if they showed interest in pellets or flake from the auto feeder.

U should try the ELOS Granular fish food.....for some reason my fish love it...much more than any other food.....but, it is expensive at $14....but, a little goes a long way.

My LFS doesnt carry ELOS stuff, but I'll order some in my next online buy. I try to listen to hobbyists that know what they're doing. Thanks for the tip.
