Specifically a Biocube 14gallon. Think its worth it? Will it even work? Is this too small a footprint to have a sucessful dsb?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I have a 10 gallon skimmerless nano 4 years old that it trouble and nuisance algae free with a deep sanded.
I also have a three year old 10 gallon with a skimmer, sump, and refugium that I'm always removing nuisance algae. It has a shallow sandbed.
fwiw,

Started out with fine Southdown 2" deep but the AC 70 kept pushing it to the back. Finally gave up and added coarse substrate, not crushed coral but one step down, to keep the sand in place. It's 1" deep in the front and almost 6" in the back
