I am about to set up a new 180g Oceanic with dual drains & returns. The drains are drilled for 1" bulkhead and return is 3/4". Is there a way that I can figure out what the drain rate will be so that I purchase the right size return pump? I want to maximize my flow rates without having to choke back the inline valve for the return pump.
The tank came with 2 overflow boxes built-in but I have no idea what their gph are. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
