DT & Phytoplankton

So a noob question, but what benefits does dosing phytoplankton/DTs/or marine snow do to the corals in the tank?

Right now I have only softies and zoas. Most seem to be doing well. Just wondering if any of those doses will benefit my tank?

It is a food source for some corals.

i use phyto 2 a great product feeds some corals and helps feed pods

feeding phyto to my sarcophyton elegans pretty much brought it back from the brink. It stays open all day, every day now with polyps extended in my mixed reef.
