Hello,

We currently are running 2 x 175 watt 14k MH's on a 65 gallon. It has gotten to the point where it is time to replace the bulbs. I have 2 x 250 watt ballast that i am not using and was thinking about swapping them over and replacing the bulbs since they need new ones as well.

For corals they are mainly LPS, torch, frogspawn, hammers and some mushrooms. Was going to add some zoa's and paly's.

I am just wondering if upgrading will be too much light?

Thank you

None of the corals you listed require high light. I would stick with the 175's That is plenty of light for your tank. Now if you want to add some attinic lighting or moon lighting that would be nice.

Thanks for the info. I was sorta thinking the same. I have a 32watt pc ballast that i may add for antinic lighting just to make the colors pop a bit more.

Thank you
