Dual wavebox question

I just got another wavebox for my 7 ft tank. All I can say is wow! I got them to well tuned and had to shut one off as I was about to spill over on one side. My question is this: The "old" wavebox has the silver driver attached which has a dial to turn it down a bit. The new one is a newer style that does not, I guess the driver is now built in. So, is there a way to dial that one down as well? Sorry, I bought this used and there was no manual.

Also, the older one had a little mesh-like screen to keep the little guys out but it basically disintegrated. Is there a part number for that so I can replace it? I have a little blenny that would get inside my Vortech and I would hate to see him get chewed up.

Thanks,
Mark

Mark, you can turn down the flow by change the freq on your controller or there is a small white knob on your new pump box that is use to connect into the controller. Just turn that knob counter clockwise and it will reduce the strength.

Thanks JH. About 10 mins after I posted that, I worked it out. I was confused at first because the second box is not an extension, but a complete setup and I was thinking about the second controller which obviously isn't connected. I played with the power a bit on each and re-tuned it and it is just sweet. I was concerned at first about giving up the real estate, but it is so worth it!

I only got a second full Wavebox because a local club member sold one for cheap.

I am not using separate controllers, just the one. Even though I had to dial them down a bit, the motion is just awesome. I actually thought I would be bothered by 2 boxes being the tank (real estate), but it really doesn't bother me at all. When I almost overflowed the side of the tank, I felt...giddy!

I got them tuned, turned down the juice on each one a bit, and life is good.

man, your killing me. Now im going to want another one! I just pulled out my vortech, and gave it away as charity. hah. I threw in a 6201 in place of it. Tunze is the only way to go. Right now i have (2) 6100, (1) 6201, (1) 6212. But i would love to throw in another wavebox, i dont know if my tank can handle all of this fun! Theres alot of stress on that all glass tank!

You don't need to turn down the pump. Just turn the freq down a little and you'll be fine....

Rouselb-I had been jonesing for a second one for a long time because of the length of the tank and when this came up, I was all over it. Agreed, Tunze is the sh*t. I resisted for a long time, but it IS futile. I have 2 6100s as well and just can't see going any other way. The

JH, I will try this tonight for sure. Gives me a good reason to tinker with it some more. And I sure hate doing that! <cheeky grin>
