dull fragspawn

I saw this fine grape fragspawn at my LFS and the color is kind of dull....close to white. I can't really see any green. Is it because of the lighting? Will it get better under MH?

If it's close to white, my guess is it's bleached. IME a bleached coral can be nursed back to health with spot feeding and good water quality, but there are no guarantees.

Sometimes it is not bleached, but thats how it was created. With all of these new "hybrid" corals... its hard to tell what is bleached and what isnt.

See the LFS guy will give you a good deal on it if it's bleached.

I bought a Torch that the LFS marked way down because it wasn't opening and after a couple of months of TLC the coral looks great and extends its tentacles a long way.

We have a frogspawn that was bleached. It has made a full recovery and looks great now. You just have to be patient and give it a little time. I also fed it about every other week .
