dumb simple question- frozen foods

I just got some marine cuisine frozen cubes for my fish and they are pretty frozen now. How long do I let it sit out before feeding it to the fish or what?

just get a small cup with tank water and thaw it out in it till it's soft. usually takes about 5-10 min

if not your fish will get brain freeze :)

If you're not going to feed the entire cube, cut it and return the unused portion to the freezer as opposed to letting it thaw and trying to refreeze it.

Yea, I only used about 3/4 of a cube and that feed 13 fish. They loved it. Never seen fish go after food before like that.

I just slice the food into thin chunks that melt when they hit the water. I suppose one could dump them in a cup of tank water for a few seconds to be sure.

I took a small turkey baster and sucked up some of the water after the cube thawed and came apart and squirted some of it into the tank.

Thaw it in ro water if you can. it may take longer but the ro water acts like a magnet and will help to take out all the impurities used to bind it and preserve it.
