Duncans not opening

Just wanting some advice if I could. My Duncans wont open. They havent opened for about 4 weeks now. They used to be really happy and looked this this:

Then the tank had a small crash (we are thinking bad batch of salt as all parameters were pretty much perfect and was after a water change) and we lost a couple of corals. We got it sorted really quickly, the parameters are great and now all the corals are extremely happy and growing like mad. But these Duncans have never reopened since that crash.

They are still alive as we lost another Duncan colony in the crash and they were completely gone and bleached whereas this still looks healthy on the outside but they wont come out. I moved them about two weeks ago to see if that helped but they still refuse to come out. Were they just too damaged from the crash and it's a no hope? I know it cant be a water quality issue because, as said, everything else is absolutely thriving. Better than ever and all growing like crazy.

You can see on the top right what they look like now

just give them time duncans are very tough it seems maybe thingds are still a litte off that leather right next to it could also have something to do with it

not sure how many leathers u have, make sure you have plenty of activated carbon to absorb the toxins released into the water from the softies, also make sure that kh is at least 10-12,and the phosphates are 0 ppm also make sure the calc is at least 425 ppm, maybe the water flow is to intense where they are.

+1 on the carbon....I would do water changes twice a week for the next two weeks....and maybe use a chemi pure elite....hope they pop out i love duncans

Thanks guys. This is exactly what I was looking for. The tank is basically all softies so it didn't occur to me that it could be Leather toxins causing the problem since everything else is okay. Prior to the tank crash, I only had one leather and now I have quite a few since they are so resilient. This makes a lot of sense! I will do some water changes as suggested and add more activated carbon.
