Duncans not opening?

Okay, I have had my duncans for about a month now, and they were doing really well, up until yesterday. Now it seems like they just don't want to open, and are real stringy in the tentacles. I feed them twice to three times a week, and they eat very well. Could something else be in the water? I do weekly/biweekly waterchanges with RO/DI water, and have no trouble at all with nitrates... they sit around 3-5 due to no skimmer... flow is with two MJ400's a small zoomed powersweep and a fluval 304 canister with a SCWD. Could there be something else that I'm missing, or are they just sometimes picky and will close up for a few days?

Make sure when you feed its not too much because they will expel the feed later uneatten then really eat it.

Might also be that they are not getting enough to eat. I notice my not open as much. I try to do little feeding but daily. Is it fine or over doing it? I only had mine for about 3 weeks.

I got my dendro to pop babies faster with little but often feeding.

dKh is 8.16 from a Salifert kit

Is it a recently purchased Salifert kit and have you compared its results with any other kits?

It is a recently purchased kit. Only about 2 months old. It matches with the seachem kit that I had

Well, today they are looking a little better. They are slowly opening. Lights have been on for about 2hrs now, so, I'll wait and see what happens through the day.

Okay, so, here they are a few days ago:

And now today:

They aren't as opened up as the were. They seem to be doing a lot better than yesterday, so, I'm not quite sure what could be going on
