He is in the same position as the picture above, just zoomed out... you can really only see his dark red eye just to the right of the rock the angel is picking at (he is looking off to the right). He really blended in ridiculously well. So ugly he was cute.
I enjoyed him a lot, unfortunately at the time I was at college so the tank (at my parent's house) was not as well kept up as it should have been. But he lasted pretty well given the circumstances. He made his burrow right at the front of the tank, which was convenient - with those colors, you'd never have seen him at the back or in the shadows. It was not a super deep sand bed, only 2-3 inches and no PVC home or any sort of premade den, he just dug his own hole and never roamed much.
I've only got a 20g now, as soon as I upgrade back up to a larger tank I'm going to get probably a yellow head jawfish. I love their personalities. You can't go wrong.
