Hey. I got one^. What's care like? I've heard mixed. What should temps be? Feeding? Any other info. Please comment if you had one of your experience

I've got one who lives in a PVC burrow that I made. Very shy and only darts in and out for food. Otherwise it just sits with its head poking out watching everything go by. I love how green their eyes look. Really neat fish otherwise. I keep it in my 120 reef with all my other fish at 79 degrees and feed PE mysis, cyclopeeze, shrimp, scallops, krill, salmon, and formula 2 flake all in a frozen mix that I make. It eats pretty much any food that drifts past its home.

Had one for a few years (we called him the ugly fish). He wasn't a picky eater as long as it floated by his burrow. Hard to spot him unless you're looking, but he had his little head poking out most of the time.

(He is right below the elibi angel in the last pic - hard to see because he blends w/ the sand)

He is in the same position as the picture above, just zoomed out... you can really only see his dark red eye just to the right of the rock the angel is picking at (he is looking off to the right). He really blended in ridiculously well. So ugly he was cute.

I enjoyed him a lot, unfortunately at the time I was at college so the tank (at my parent's house) was not as well kept up as it should have been. But he lasted pretty well given the circumstances. He made his burrow right at the front of the tank, which was convenient - with those colors, you'd never have seen him at the back or in the shadows. It was not a super deep sand bed, only 2-3 inches and no PVC home or any sort of premade den, he just dug his own hole and never roamed much.

I've only got a 20g now, as soon as I upgrade back up to a larger tank I'm going to get probably a yellow head jawfish. I love their personalities. You can't go wrong.

My stepson picked this fish out. He loves in a 120gallon reef. No sand, he lives under the rocks. He eats anything that gets close enough. He darts out, grabs food and is back in his home before you can say "food". Literally blinding speed lol. We love him. He blends in great. The top of his body becomes the color of the rock he's under and the bottom of him is very dark like the black under the glass. He's a pretty awesome little fish.

And his eyes are beautiful!

Easiest way is to download them to photobucket.com (free) or a similar site, and then just push the code next to the picture (that is how I stuck mine in there).

There is also a way to attach them directly to the thread.
