i was wondeing if anyone has any comments on whether or not they have tried a Centropyge tibicen otherwise known as a "keyhole angelfish" in a SPS/LPS system.. i love the dark coloration then the white spot.. sweet looking fish.. my system is very heavy SPS/LPS, and would hate to have this be a coral eating machine.. i have not really read anything saying that they will be, but i know most dwarfs can be or are.. any insight would be very helpful, thanks..

No experience with this fish, but I have heard they will eat corals. also, they are good-sized for a Centopyge & quite capable of doing a lot of damage. Personally, I wouldn't risk it..

He mostly had leather corals, sarcophytons, sinularia that sort of thing.
Surprisingly left Xenia alone. They probably are more of a risk to lps. What do you have in your tank?

Same here - I understand they get 7+ inches and eventually are likely to eat your brains and tubeworms

im looking for that last fish in my system before they all get too settled in.. im looking for something that isnt seen a lot.. any ideas??

--current list-- niger trigger, orange spotted rabbitfish, christmas wrasse(awesome mixture of colors), red spotted lizardfish, ocellaris pair, fiji blue devil damsel(love the bight blue color).. what do you think for the last fish??

C. tibicen has been reported to feed on Scleractinian polyps in the wild, so it would certainly be a risk to introduce one.

Chalk basslets would be an interesting addition. A small group could work well and you wouldn't have to worry about pairing issues, since they are simultaneous hermaphrodites.

how hard do you think it woiuld be to add two smaller chalk basses to one that has been in a tank for a month only by itsself??
