Mine was great with all my other fish. Never tried to attack any of the smaller fish. My yellow clown goby use to follow him around and perch next to him and even ride on him sometimes. Which I found very strange. But then again when the lion got to close to the Gobies Duncan's he would fly out and nip him and the lion never did anything. He recently just died because he stopped eating. They some times do that and then it's next to impossible to get them to eat again. I tried everything from a feeder fish to ghost shrimp to adult brine and he turned them all down. It was sad to watch him for a 2 months waste away like that. But he was a wonderful fish. Dwarf lions are one of my favorite fish and I am working up a plan to keep a number of different ones in a tank soon

They are poisonous...that's about all I need to know. Ha! No seriously. I think they are great looking fish, I just fear what would happen if I got stung so I'll never have one.

I have a dwarf lion reef, your only concern will be shrimp and any fish small enough for them to eat. Feeding a new arrival can be a concern, so if you are keeping a community tank and not feeding live, qt and get them eating dead food(not 100% guaranteed); they will usually come in eating live food only. Mine are rescues and I feed my tank live, my zebra and fuzzy eats dead well, my fu couldn't sustain on dead only, and my antennata won't touch dead. I have 4 in a 90 and they are very friendly so cleaning is an adventure, Ive been brushed on the arm and have to swat them away sometimes.

I got jabbed in the thumb by mine ( completely my fault) wasnt really that bad at all a mild burning sensation lasting mabe 3 or 4 hours, i kept thinking when is it going to get worse oh no oh no im in for it now..... but it never happened as i said just a mild burning...... on another note i found mine to be a very good comunity fish the only time he ever ate any other fish was when i introduced new chromis or cardinals and they get a bit disoriented when they first hit the water, the lion could grab one other than that he was good as gold... had him for 3 years anc he ate everything offered including competing with the other fish for frozen brine, then one day he stopped eating and was dead within a week..
