Dwarfs Angels and zoos

I have seen flames in with zoas.

I think it depends on whether they are well fed and then on the species and finally the individual.

I've had a flame in my tank for a year with no problems. I think it depends on the fish and keeping them well fed doesn't hurt either.

Zoos are highly toxic also (the ones that carry it that is). Most fish I think recognize not to pick at them or else.

I have a flame angel without any problems... But agree it depends on the individual and how much you feed your fish...

My tangs eat them like candy.

My flame and coral beauty angels leave em alone.

Mfinn what kind of tang do you have because I am thinking about getting a blue tang. Anyone have experience with them?

I have had 3 different hippo tangs that would eat my zoanthids and 2 different purple tangs that eat them.
There has been a number of threads about tangs eating zoanthids.

Atleast with the Dwarf angels you have a chance.:)

Zoos are one of the few things I have not seen pygmy angels go after. I have had a sailfin, and a yellow tang and a rabbitfish that have eatin zoos.

Some angels will nip and others will leave them alone. I have a Bellus angel and a pair of Swallow Tail angels and they leave my corals alone.

My flame angel doesn't bother zoanthids or clams (I have 4). However, he does pick at Christmas Tree Worms and a Porites SPS coral.
