Dying Xenia

I have a piece of live rock with two frags of xenia on it. One frag seems to be peeling off and has recently shriveled up quite a bit. I think it may be dying. What should I do? Remove it by cutting it off or pulling it off? or should I just let it dissolve away?
Thanks!

Are you feeding it? Am I assuming you have this in a Nano tank? Most people say you dont need to feed them at all, part true, but not neccessarily. IMO, target feed DT's phytoplankton ASAP once a day and it may bounce back. Give it a few days. Dont give up on it yet unless you actually see it begin to dissolve. If it does start dissolving, just pull/cut it off the rock as it would be dead/dying anyway. Hope this helps. Good luck :)

Thanks, I'm not feeding it right now. But it turns out it's doing a lot better. I think it was just jumping rocks, hehehe. I noticed it the change late last night and today it's color came back quite a bit.
Thanks Surgeon!
