Dr. hiroyuki tanaka has a pair of Cirrhilabrus sanguineus.

i think there was once where one made it into the trade. but it was an unconfirmed source and i'm not sure about it.

I believe Aquatouch had the opportunity to bring one in a few months back. I don't think they had anyone bite though, so it went to Japan or somewhere.

the snaguinsis has been at the very top of my list..never heard of them getting in the trade though

The stripe from nose to tail of earlei dotted with the tiny white spots look very similar to that of Cirrhilabrus roseafascia and C. lanceolatus.

the stripes on the body remind me of Cirrhilabrus marjorie.

Maybe a hybrid of roseafascia x marjorie would produce something like this haha! if there were ever such a thing.

but the earlei is gorgeous with those deep magenta colours. oh my gosh it looks like a ripe autumn fruit that i just want to sink my teeth in!

They look a little like a cross between a Roseafascia and Conniella, you can definetly see a little of the Roseafascia in the face of these guys and the striping of the Conniella Wrasse(no chance in getting from what I gather).

What about cirrhilabrus Claire I think know nobody has it. There from the cook islands. Anyways awesome trio so jealous!:)

Jim, maybe I missed it, but could you tell us a bit about the system they're going into? Specifically how large, corals, temperature and lighting.

Was it a logistical nightmare trying to import these guys from BH, or did they make the process pretty easy?

You dont know much then.... I "talked" to Brian 2 days ago. He is in the Marshalls right now diving....

Buddy, I'm a pretty friendly guy, but your posts are completely out of line. For someone that has been a member of the site for less than a month you sure think you know a lot. Granted, you can get a lot of knowledge elsewhere in the hobby, I don't think now is the time to show others that have established themselves as productive and helpful members of this site (such as Jim) that they have incorrect knowledge. Especially something as useless as debating whether Brian Green is diving or not....

I also wonder why you put "talked" to in quotes. Perhaps because you "didn't" talk to him? That would be my guess.

If I had to guess, the fact that you think you know everything, and have only been a member for less than a month makes me think that you're someone who got the boot for opening your mouth just like you are now and signed up with a new name and email. Pretty smart... Why don't you impart some wisdom on others here that actually need it regarding algae problems, fish health, fish selection, plumbing, and a whole number of other things like the rest of us do here. Or, if you prefer, share your tank and it's inhabitants. I'd be interested to see what you keep and how they look. I ask this because I have not seen a single useful or well thought out post of yours here on RC.

Anyway, I apologize for that derail, but that post had been bothering me for a while now. Rant over, back to the incredible wrasses!

Im completely sorry. I did talk to Brian--no lie--I have known him personally since his trip to Xmas with John Earle and Rich Pyle about 4-5 years ago. As for knowledge about fish--I really dont know much. I just like rare fish....like the masked angelfish I caught 3 weeks ago....
