Earth worms ?

I have read that goldfish and other types of fresh water fish are not good food to feed. What if they were used just as a supliment to a much larger diet? What about earth worms i have kept large freshwater fish for years feeding different types of food but useing earth woms just as a quick feed or a snack. Could the same be done with saltwater? Is there any danger to the fishes health? I havent done this yet just an idea, a way to extend the amount of food i have to feed. It would also be a cheap way to fill there bellies. Like i said i havent done this just a thought for discussion.

i would try to shy away from anything that isnt a part of their natural diet. not only are freshwater feeder fish unhealthy for saltwater fish they can transmit disease and bacteria. your fish will probably eat the worms but like with freshwater feeders they probably contain the wrong proteins and nutrients making your fish about as healthy as my 400 lb uncle vito with heart disease.:)
